From Pacific to Atlantic: Letarte Opens New Doors in Nantucket
Nantucket, MA, May 5, 2010 - Maui-based swim and cover-up label, Letarte, is island-hopping from Hawaii's beaches to the New England seacoast and opening doors to its new Nantucket store at the end of May.
Co-founders and sisters, Lisa Letarte Cabrinha and Michele Letarte Ross, are excited about opening a sister store to the flagship Maui Letarte one on the cobblestone streets of picturesque Nantucket.
"With the opening of our Nantucket store, fans can shop from the Pacific or the Atlantic," explains Ross. "We're going to make a splash at the surf of Ho'okipa and on the sands of Madaket."
The East Coast native sisters, who spent their childhood vacationing in ACK, will keep the authentic Maui vibe in the Nantucket store with Letarte's signature white-washed walls and iconic zebra print rug. Located at 5 South Water Street, the Nantucket Letarte boutique will be open daily from 8am to 8pm during peak season and will feature the entire 2010 collection of swimwear, caftans and cover-ups along with Maui-designer jewelry and the debut of the label's towels and signature lotion and oil.
"Islanders and vacationers alike are already wearing Letarte on Cisco Beach, but with the new South Water Street location the collection will be more accessible," says Cabrinha.
Lisa Letarte Cabrinha and Michele Letarte Ross are the sisters behind the Letarte label and lead the company from opposite coasts. Celebrating their 10 year anniversary this year, the company started off in a handful of select resorts and high-end boutiques. Now it is a multi-million dollar brand sold in 400+ retail outlets worldwide.
