Letarte Nantucket Store Donates to Surfrider Foundation

Nantucket, MA, June 30, 2010 - Thanks to designer swimwear Letarte's community outreach, every time a customer shops at the Maui-based brand's new Nantucket boutique, a percentage of the sale will be donated to Surfrider Foundation.

"It's so important to give back, so each year we find a way to donate proceeds to the Foundation," explains CEO Michele Letarte Ross. "With the opening of the Nantucket store, Letarte customers will help preserve our oceans and precious sandy beaches simply by shopping Letarte."

By partnering with the non-profit Pay It Forward Worldwide organization (pifw.org), Letarte will provide Surfrider Foundation with monthly donations through each credit card transaction from the Nantucket island shop.

Lisa Letarte Cabrinha and Michele Letarte Ross are the sisters behind the Letarte label and lead the company from opposite coasts.  Celebrating their 10 year anniversary this year, the company started off in a handful of select resorts and high-end boutiques.  Now it is a multi-million dollar brand sold in 400+ retail outlets worldwide.
